You've seen Amanda King's By the Horns photographs in large format prints, but they look so dramatic in albums too! This is a 15x12 vertical Q-Book Medium with offset printing on Tintoretto to give that textured, watercolour look. The creamy, 'Eggshell' cover is a vegan-friendly micro leather, appropriate considering the subject matter. ( Amanda, who's based in Canterbury, New Zealand, says anybody who knows her will tell you of her love for animals. "If only I could keep them all as pets.") This weeks 'Share of the Week' goes to New Zealander Amanda King, who shared her Queensberry Fine Art Prints, featured in her first solo By The Horns exhibition, on Facebook . Thanks for sharing, Amanda. There’s a wee thank you on its way to you. Amanda King's striking photographs went on display last week at The Woolshed in Darfield, New Zealand. "It was a fantastic night, and The Woolshed Gallery was very fitting for the occasion! The exhibition showcased my rural animal prints and I was selling framed prints on the night. Photographer Amanda King from ‘By the Horns’ lives on a sheep and beef farm in rural Canterbury, New Zealand. Her career took a turn after she took a photo of a "big hairy cow" to display in her living room. Her friends loved her 40x30 print and requested copies for themselves. She sensed an opportunity, and within nine weeks had built up a 16,000 following on Facebook. We asked Amanda about her new business venture, what inspires her about rural animals and a bit about the way she chooses to display her work. Amanda had been a school teacher for about To View More >>

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make us smile and these wee "heirlooms" will become more valuable with every passing year. They're mini canvases from a gorgeous home shoot by Justin Aitken. We took a few minutes to enjoy them w hile Helen added the finishing touches, and we'd really love to see how they look on the wall. With the canvas re-launch, and the holiday season now upon us, the lab has been even busier than usual. The response has been amazing and we’re blown away, as always, by the calibre of the photographs we see. Victoria x P.S. To View More >>

“This project simply reminds us of how fragile we are. Many cultures portray men as strong – physically and emotionally.” When Ilan from Ilan Wittenberg Photography set out to create his exhibition piece, “The Bare Truth”, he hoped he would break down this stigma and expose and reveal the real man through a series of raw black and white images. “One of the goals of this project is to give men freedom to express their feelings and connect to their emotions. This fresh look at men is an eye opening opportunity to see the real people without the 'shield' of To View More >>

We’re proud to be supporting David and Luke Edmonson at WPPI this year. They’re talking about perhaps the most important challenge facing every professional photographer – how to transform their passion for photography into a successful longterm career. Luke and David want to be known for producing great photography, and serving their clients — but of course every sustainable business needs to generate profits as well. We’re going to publish an article about their sales strategies shortly, along with some of their work, but first we thought you’d like To View More >>

We admit it - we’re excited to see that our gorgeous new boudoir project has been outed on social media, and we’ve been overwhelmed with enquiries. We’re very grateful, thank you, it’s just happened a little faster than we’d planned, so this is to let you know where we're up to! We’ve finished product design and pricing, but are still working our way through the web site, price calculators and ordering system, which means we may not be able to answer all your questions right now. Still, here are some links you can check out now... 1.Most To View More >>

Following on from Sonya's post about loving photos, and the thought 'what would you save if your house was on fire?' I found The Burning House, a website which is absolutely devoted to that very question. The site is an invitation for anyone to post a photo and list of what possessions you'd take with you. It describes the decision as "a philosophical conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental". It really does give an insight to your personality, interests and priorities. Not surprisingly many of the posts include photo albums, boxes of photographs, old film and framed To View More >>

Being half way across the world (literally!) I couldn’t have felt further away from the Royal Wedding two years ago. But after reading photographer Gavin Dickson’s description of the day, it transported my mind back to Westminster Abbey, and I re-lived the wonder, expectation and emotion all over again! Gavin said that at the time of the Royal Wedding he was "Chief Photographer at the Express & Star, the United Kingdom's biggest selling regional newspaper and I knew a couple of months in advance that I'd be photographing the Royal wedding in London.” Gavin was one of the few To View More >>

Rugby World Cup fever is gripping New Zealand at the moment, which ties in nicely with my topic (sort of). Twenty teams are here to be beaten by the mighty All Blacks. (Go you good things!) OK, all the teams want to win, but only one can. Whereas our goal is to deliver the best possible books and albums, so everyone wins. How's that for cheesy? But we mean it! We have had an influx of press book orders over the last few months and nearly everybody has been over the moon about them. However not everyone has had the same warm fuzzy feeling. Why? Often it's the nature of the product itself. Press To View More >>
